Ladies Circle is a women's social and service club
dedicated to friendship and service, to promoting international understanding and
goodwill and helping in local service projects. The club is non-political and
non-sectarian.

LCI Charity Project for 2007-9 Sanitation At Rural Indian Schools’
the SARIS project The project entails providing sanitary facilities for the school girls
of India. It costs on average € 730 to build one block of two toilets
in a school. The aim is to build 100 toilets for Indian Schools. Due to
lack of facilities girls are remaining at home not fulfilling a career
or learning abilities. By providing these simple sanitary fittings it
will give girls the chance to attend school. Growing up as a girl in
India is hard enough but when we consider puberty and the fact that
there are no sanitary facilities in schools we understand better the
importance of this project. Assisting these girls to go through
education will not only be providing them with a chance to improve
their prospects but we will also be helping the India economy and a
better future for Indian children.
